Data protection

This page describes exactly what the shop records. It is written from the site's own code, not from a generic template.

What we record when you pre-order

• Your email address, as you type it.
• The piece, quantity and option (size or colour) you reserve.
• Your comment, if you leave one. That field is optional.
• A fingerprint of your IP address, not the address itself. It is hashed with a secret key, which lets us block automated submissions without keeping a readable address.
• The page that sent you here and the time of your reservation.

What we measure on the site

To learn which pieces genuinely draw interest, the site counts page views and form openings. Those counts are tied to a random identifier kept in your browser, which holds no information about you.

Your browser stores two values, locally only: that random identifier, and your email address so you do not retype it from one piece to the next. Clearing the site data removes both. The server sets no cookies.

Page views are also counted by Plausible, an analytics tool we host on our own servers. It sets no cookies, builds no profiles and follows nobody across sites. The data is never passed to a third party.

What it is used for

Two things, and nothing else: emailing you when orders open, and deciding which pieces go into production.

Who can see it

The Maw Academia team. The data sits on our own server in Europe. It is never sold, rented, or passed to an advertiser or third-party service. No advertising tracker loads on this page.

How long we keep it

Until orders open for the run in question, or until you ask us to delete it. If a run is dropped, the matching reservations are erased.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, and withdraw your consent at any time. One message to contact@mawacademia.com is enough, with no reason required.

A pre-order is not a purchase

No payment is requested on this site and no payment method is stored. Reserving a piece commits you to nothing: you decide when orders open.
